Example of My Resistance Training Program [#1]

I’m a beginner to weightlifting.  Here’s one of my starter upper-body workout programs.

UPPER BODY WORKOUT – PROGRAM 1

Assisted Pull Ups 4 sets x 8 (90 lbs)

Lat Pull Down 4 sets x 10 (60 lbs)
Machine Row 4 sets x 10 (60 lbs)

E-Z bar Bicep Curls 4 sets x 12 (30 lb bar)
Body Weight Back Extensions 4 sets x 15
Overhead Dumbbell Tricep Extension 4 x 12 (20 lb)

Assisted Push-ups on Smith Rack 4 sets x 10
Body Weight Lunges 4 sets x 20
Vertical Knee Raises on Captain’s Chair 4 sets x 15

Any exercises grouped above are supersetted, meaning I perform them consecutively without stopping (except for rehydration purposes, i.e., drinking water).  These short “break intervals” should be kept to 30 seconds maximum.
